T&T QUALITY

QUALITY

T&T, was not content with its quality confirmed by its customers as well as its machinery, equipment and experienced work force brought about by the modern times and established the ISO 9001 Quality Management System in the 2000s in order to make the company a stronger brand in the competitive environment and in the world markets and satisfy the customer requirements at a more satisfying level and is now implementing all its operations in accordance with the system it has established.

“ON-SITE QUALITY CONCEPT”

One of the basic concepts of TPS (TPS is a system of eliminating wastes) is “ON-SITE QUALITY”.
In this concept, the next process or operator means the customer of the respective process. Thus, everyone is responsible for forwarding an intermediate product with zero defects.

Consequently, each employee endeavours to perform his/her own work in the best way.
The operator prevents any resulting problems to proceed to the next process.

All the employees are entitled to stop the line as necessary. Whenever some mechanical/automated systems identify defects or problems, they may also automatically stop the production. The objective is to prevent the defect from passing on to the next process.

STANDARDISATION

Each process is planned in order to ensure the “ON-SITE QUALITY” at the designing stage and checked through trials.

Thus, once the best method has been identified, it is applied as a standard for the production of product group. The meaning of standardisation at each and every stage is to ensure the same quality level for each product. Besides, it is possible to carry out analyses through measurements thanks to standardisation.

KAIZEN  (INCREMENTAL IMPROVEMENT)

Working is not a monotonous effort but a dynamic concept at T&T.

PLAN-DO-CHECK-ACT (PDCA) cycle is incrementally applied. While the operations are fulfilled in accordance with the standards, “KAIZEN” points are continually sought for. Therefore, data are collected from the subsequent processes, measurements and customers. Another objective of improvement comprises of the advance prevention of potential problems.

T&T encourages the Kaizen works of all the employees through “Creative Proposals” and “Kaizen Rings” activities.

The quality of the working environment affects the quality as well. Therefore, 5S is applied, which is very important for TPS (5S: Seiri-tidiness, Seiton-orderliness, Seiketsu-standardisation, Seiso-cleanliness, Shitsuke-discipline).

All the employees are responsible for the tidiness of their working environments. Tools and equipment are arranged not to cause any misusage. Cleanliness in the working environment is a factor which not only affects the motivation of the employees but the product quality as well. Discipline ensures commitment to standards. Orderliness which is a must for the performance of a smooth work and Kaizen requires placing some importance on particulars.

QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM OF SUPPLIERS

T&T is conscious of the fact that component and material quality has a direct effect on the product quality and considers all its suppliers members of the T&T family. Therefore, T&T supports the incremental improvement activities of all its suppliers. T&T never makes concession of its quality goals. Prior to the selection of a supplier, the quality, technical capacity, cost and supply capacities of the candidate firms are assessed. T&T establishes a long-term cooperation based on mutual confidence with its suppliers, thus contributing to the provision of a high quality level in components and materials.
